- Introduction
Scientia International Press, the editorial division of Scientia International, in partnership with Editora CLAEC (Latin American Center for Cultural Studies), hereby opens this call for proposals for the organization of digital scientific e-books to be published under the international editorial label Scientia Global Editions.
Books will be published in open access, with individual DOIs for each chapter, ISBN registered in Brazil or Spain (as chosen by the organizers), and multilingual metadata translated into six languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, German, and Mandarin.
All publications will be bilingual, with mandatory translation into a second language: Portuguese, Spanish, or English.
- Objective
To select proposals for edited volumes composed of original, unpublished scientific chapters, with academic rigor and thematic relevance, in the following areas:
- Humanities
- Applied Social Sciences
- Linguistics, Literature, and Arts
- Education
- Interdisciplinary Studies
- Target Audience
Researchers holding at least a master's degree may submit proposals. Proposals may include up to five organizers.
At least one chapter authored by the organizers must be included, exempt from fees. This chapter will not count toward the minimum number of approved chapters required for publication.
- Responsibilities of the Organizers
Organizers will serve as scientific editors of the volume and will be responsible for:
- Thematic curation
- Preliminary review of submitted chapters
- Communication with authors
- Editorial coordination
- Ensuring scientific consistency of the volume
- Promoting the chapter call
Organizers will not be charged fees nor receive any remuneration for organizing the book.
- Editorial Process Stages
5.1 Proposal Submission: Through a form including a provisional title, abstract, justification, knowledge areas, editorial timeline, organizer bios, choice of country for ISBN registration, and publication languages.

5.2 Evaluation: Conducted within 30 days by the Scientia and CLAEC editorial teams, based on criteria of relevance, feasibility, and internationalization potential.
5.3 Public Call for Chapters: Announced in two languages (PT/EN or PT/ES) with a submission deadline of up to 90 days.
5.4 Review, Translation, Editing, and Publication: A minimum of 4 approved chapters (excluding the organizer chapter) is required to initiate the editorial process.

All works will follow the Scientia Global Editions standards:
- Professional editing
- Translation into a second language
- DOI for each chapter and the complete volume
- ISBN (BR or ES)
- CC BY-NC 4.0 License
- Metadata in six languages
- Free and open digital publication
- Publication Fees
Fees apply only to accepted chapters (excluding the organizers' chapter):
Institution based in Brazil: R$ 400.00
Institution based outside Brazil: € 250.00
Payment must be made within 5 business days after acceptance.

- Final Provisions
- By submitting the proposal, organizers fully accept the terms of this call;
- The call may be extended or suspended by decision of the partnering institutions;
- Any omitted cases will be resolved jointly by Scientia International Press and Editora CLAEC.
